  FOOTHILL FARMS, SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CALIF. (CBS13) — Sacramento County Sheriff deputies arrested two men for their alleged involvement in the murder of Sungaya Fleming, a Sacramento woman who was shot on the 4800 block of  Myrtle Ave. Monday, Dec. 12.
  Homicide detectives arrested Tyquil Armstrong, 21, and Jerrell Jackson, 21, of Sacramento Friday, Jan. 6.

• Fire Damages Fourplex In Rancho Cordova

  A fourplex in Sacramento County was heavily damaged by fire and smoke Saturday.
  In the 7 a.m. hour, crews were called out to the building in the 9000 block of Folsom Boulevard in Rancho Cordova.
  It was originally reported that two of the units were on fire, but the flames spread to all four units, according to a MetroFire Department spokesperson.

  SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — “We’ve never had a levee failure and we want to keep it that way,” said Don Caldwell while standing on top of the Natomas levee along Garden Highway.

  WILTON (CBS13) — A big area of concern in Sacramento County with the upcoming storms is the Wilton area where county officials say water will likely go over the banks of the Consumnes River.

  SACRAMENTO COUNTY (CBS13) — A formerly homeless woman and her three children now have a roof above their heads, after they were helped by a good Samaritan.
  Sarah Martinez was loaned an RV by Everyone Matters Ministries, where she has been living for about a year.

  SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) – A 57-year-old convicted killer serving a life sentence in California became the first U.S. inmate to receive state-funded sex-reassignment surgery, the prisoner’s attorneys confirmed Friday to The Associated Press.
