• Head-On Crash Closes Part Of Highway 49 In Placer County

    PLACER COUNTY (CBS13) – Two teenagers died Thursday after they crashed head-on with another vehicle in Placer County.
    The crash happened at Highway 49 at Joeger Road. One of the males was reportedly ejected from the vehicle.
    The California Highway Patrol says both deceased teens were Bear River High School Students.
    One-way traffic control is in effect through the area as crews work to clear the wreckage. Northbound lanes are expected to reopen closed northbound lanes, according to Caltran

    DAVIS (CBS13) – Davis police are investigating a report of an attempted kidnapping of a 12-year-old girl.

    MANTECA (CBS13) – Mandatory evacuations are underway after a large chemical spill in the city of Manteca.
