    LAKEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4) – Nine Republican Congressional leaders are now supporting a cake shop in Lakewood.
    Masterpiece Cakeshop was served with a discrimination lawsuit after the cake shop owner, Jack Phillips, refused to make a wedding cake for Charlie Craig an Dave Mullins, a gay couple.
    Since the suit, Phillips was ordered to either bake wedding cakes for same-sex couples or stop baking wedding cakes altogether. He’s lost 40 percent of his income and most of his staff.

  • Hospital: Five Nurses Suspended After Viewing Corpse

    DENVER (CBS4) – Five nurses at Denver Health Medical Center are on suspension after officials say they inappropriately viewed a patient’s corpse.
    The incident reportedly happened in April.

    GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4) – Crews rescued a hiker who got stuck on the side of Red Mountain in Garfield County for more than seven hours.

    ARVADA, Colo. (CBS4)– A man who admitted to blowing up a Postal Service mailbox in Arvada will spend more than two years in federal prison.

    SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (AP) — Fearsome Hurricane Irma cut a path of devastation across the northern Caribbean, leaving at least 10 dead and thousands homeless after destroying buildings and uprooting trees on a track Thursday that could lead to a catastrophic strike on Florida.
