    DENVER (CBS4)– State lawmakers are debating a massive overhaul in how people going through a mental crisis are treated in Colorado. The bill has bipartisan support.
    Gov. John Hickenlooper is behind a $9 million plan that would end the practice of putting people in crisis, in jail. The funding would come from marijuana sales tax.

    LARIMER COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) – Durrell Bumphus was arrested by the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office on a warrant for human trafficking.

    Thomas Flynn was sentenced to 36 years in prison for attempted first-degree murder for the shooting at the Kentucky Fried Chicken located at 92nd Avenue and Federal Boulevard last July.

    AURORA, Colo. (CBS4)– Tracy Abbato’s dog, Capone, will remain in an Aurora animal shelter one more week as she fights the city to prove the family’s pet is not a wolf hybrid.
    “It’s hard waking up and he’s not there,” Abbato said. “It’s been heartbreaking. He’s our family member and we don’t have him here with us.”
