    SMYRNA, Tenn. (AP) — A Blue Angels pilot who died when his F/A-18 fighter jet crashed near Nashville, Tennessee, had wanted to fly since he was a child, relatives said.
    A U.S. official identified the pilot killed Thursday as Marine Capt. Jeff Kuss. The official was not authorized to discuss the matter publicly and spoke on condition of anonymity.

    BOULDER, Colo. (AP) — Investigators have suspended a search at a Colorado ski resort but are hoping DNA evidence will help them identify human remains found inside a snow boot there.

    LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — A spokesman for boxing great Muhammad Ali says the former heavyweight champion is being treated in a hospital for a respiratory issue.
    Spokesman Bob Gunnell said Thursday that Ali is being treated by doctors as a precaution. He says that the 74-year-old is in fair condition, and that a brief hospital stay is expected.
    He declined to say where Ali is hospitalized or when he was admitted.

    DENVER (AP) – For the second consecutive year, Gov. John Hickenlooper has vetoed a bill that would have enacted a statewide ban on red-light traffic cameras.
    Hickenlooper said Thursday he agrees with lawmakers that photo enforcement tools should only be used for public safety, not to generate income.
    But he said a bill passed by the Legislature this year robbed municipalities of the power to decide whether to use the often-unpopular cameras.
