• CDOT Campaign Aims To Curb Cellphone Use While Driving

  DENVER (CBS4) – As summer vacations kick off the Colorado Department of Transportation is warning everyone to put down cellphones while driving.
  CDOT launched a distracted driving campaign that runs all weekend. The agency says cellphones were blamed in 17 deadly crashes in Colorado last year.
  The Colorado State Patrol has been out in force citing offenders.
  Drivers younger than 18 caught using their phone while driving could be fined and may lose their license.

  ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) – The Denver Broncos say star cornerback Aqib Talib is recovering after being shot in the leg at a Dallas nightclub.
  Team spokesman Patrick Smyth said the team has been in touch with the cornerback and that he’s doing OK. Smyth said the team was gathering more information.

  DALLAS (CBS4) – Denver Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib was reportedly shot during a fight at a nightclub in Dallas.
  According to the Dallas Morning News, Talib was one of two people who were shot at a Stemmons Corridor nightclub called the V Live club early Sunday morning.
  Talib and the other person who was shot were hospitalized with injuries that weren’t considered life-threatening.

  DENVER (AP) – Both of the U.S. military’s high-drama, high-dollar flying teams suffered crashes on the same day this week, but supporters say the Air Force Thunderbirds and the Navy Blue Angels are worth the money and the risk because they’re vital to recruitment and help citizens feel good about their military.

  SMYRNA, Tenn. (AP) — The body of an elite fighter jet pilot who was killed in a crash near Nashville Thursday has been flown home.
