• Woman in stable condition after shooting on LaSalle Avenue

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB)– Buffalo Police are investigating an overnight shooting in the 600 block of LaSalle Avenue.
    Police tell News 4 a 28-year-old female was reportedly struck by gunfire at an apparent gathering just before 4:30 a.m. Saturday. They believe the incident happened outside.
    According to investigators, the woman was driven in a civilian vehicle to ECMC. She’s currently in stable condition.

    ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) — New York state has moved its fall 2018 primary election date back two days so it doesn’t interfere with the anniversary of 9/11 or the Jewish holiday of Rosh Hashanah.
    Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced Friday that he has signed into law a measure moving the date of the primary election from Tuesday, Sept. 11 to Thursday, Sept. 13.

    Deputies from the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two-car injury accident on Friday just before 6 p.m.
    Investigation showed a westbound vehicle crossed the double yellow line and struck an oncoming eastbound vehicle head-on.

    A traffic stop lead to two drug arrests in Jamestown on Friday night.
    The K9 unit of the Jamestown Police stopped 49-year-old Henry Myers and 50-year-old Jeffery Myers when they observed Henry Myers failing to signal on a turn.
    Investigation showed Myers had a suspended license and was in possession of methamphetamine and a digital scale.

    SAN LUIS, Ariz. (AP) — An inmate died during a riot at a southern Arizona prison where hundreds of inmates attacked guards and set fires, prison officials said Friday.
