  Lloyds Bank in Harrow Town Centre is set to close permanently next week, with new figures showing that nearly 1,600 customers regularly use the branch.
  The Station Road bank will shut for the final time on Wednesday, September 23.

• Plans for defibrillator and bleed kit in Ruislip High Street refused

  Plans to install a community defibrillator and bleed kit in Ruislip High Street have been refused by Hillingdon Council.
  The proposal was for a standalone frame containing both cabinets on the pavement outside 107 High Street, close to the Nationwide Building Society branch.
  Nationwide Building Society was named as the applicant, with the scheme described in planning documents as the “Defib and Bleed Kit Installation Program”.

• Plans revealed to transform Wealdstone pavilion into new community hub

  Plans have been submitted to bring the former bowls pavilion at Byron Recreation Ground in Wealdstone back into use as a new community and recreational hub.
  The application, submitted by Byron Recreation CIC, would see the existing pavilion on Peel Road extended, refurbished and completely reorganised inside. The building was previously used as a sports pavilion but is now described in the application as “vacant and unused”.

  A former teacher from Bushey has been jailed for more than 10 years after being found with more than 1,600 child abuse images.
  Matthew O’Kelly, 43, of Walton Road in Bushey, was sentenced on Monday 14 September after being convicted of attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child and arranging or facilitating the commission of a child sexual offence.
