How automotive brands are blurring the lines between digital & reality
Volvo was one of the first automotive brands to utilise virtual reality with its Volvo Reality campaignFor most people, the experience of buying a car can be a long and laborious process.
As research has shown, most people dislike dealerships and would definitely consider buying a vehicle online instead.
Conveniently, the automotive industry has seen greater focus on digital channels and certainly an increase in creative ad campaigns over the past few years.
Now with many brands utilising Virtua -

Mark Ritson: Burberry’s tumbling profits show Christopher Bailey is overstretched
At first sight one might assume that any CEO that can deliver £421m in profit from annual sales of £2.5bn is about to get a pretty juicy bonus. Nothing could be further from the truth at Burberry where current CEO Christopher Bailey has seen his 2015 package cut by 75% after the British luxury brand posted lacklustre results by its standards.
Part of the problem for Bailey is one of expectation. Ever since Rose Marie Bravo rescued the ailing house in 1997, brought it back to life an -
Strong B2B brands drive value more consistently than B2C brands
Microsoft takes the number one spot, followed by IBM, Wells Fargo, GE and UPS, which make up the top five. The real story is the consistency of the value generated by B2B brands and the blurred lines with the business-to-consumer (B2C) sector. SAP, Accenture, HP, HSBC and Oracle make up the rest of the top 10.
B2B brands tend to be more consistent in terms of brand value. Looking at the top 20 B2B brands many have stayed in the B2B ranking over ten years, in fact 14 of the brands in the B2B ran -

Meaningful brands are better at driving growth in BrandZ top 100
BrandZ’s analysis shows that the most successful brands in the ranking have a recognisable point of difference, which is meaningful and therefore salient. It is argued that these three aspects can predict and ensure that brands have the best opportunity for future growth, which BrandZ labels as the ‘brand potential’ metric.
Looking at 167 common brands valued in both 2015 and 2016, those with a higher brand potential have grown most over the past year.
