    More than 500,000 people have signed a petition to overturn the ban on Iceland’s Christmas advert.
    The spot, which highlights the impact of palm oil on the environment, was blocked from TV by ad vetting body Clearcast because it “contravened the prohibition on political advertising”.

    The owner of the Daily Mail is reportedly readying a bid to buy the i newspaper from its financially stricken publisher Johnston Press.
    Daily Mail and General Trust (DMGT) is in the early stages of drawing up an offer, according to Sky News, and is expected to lodge its bid "in the coming weeks".
