    VACAVILLE (CBS13) – Investigators say a threat later determined to be unfounded prompted a short lockdown at a Vacaville elementary school on Monday.
    Vacaville police say Hemlock Elementary School was put on lockdown early Monday afternoon.
    A possible threat was made by someone from outside of Vacaville was made, police say. The threat was unfounded, police say. Exactly what kind of threat was made is not clear.

  • Woman Suspected Of DUI Rear-Ends Deputy’s Car In Stockton While She Was Driving Infant, Toddler

    STOCKTON (CBS13) – A woman is under arrest after deputies say she crashed into their patrol car – while she was driving an infant and a toddler.
    The incident happened around 7:20 p.m. Sunday near Hospital Road and El Dorado Street.
    According to the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office, the woman rear-ended the patrol car – causing a chain reaction that also resulted in an evidence car being struck.

  • Body Found Of Jet Skier Who Went Missing At Folsom Lake

    FOLSOM (CBS13) – Authorities say they have recovered the body of a jet skier who fell into Folsom Lake.
    Alexander Ham, 29, was reported missing back on April 14. He was out with some friends on a jet ski when he disappeared.
    A boater found a body in the lake on May 9, the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office says.
    That body has since been positively identified as Ham’s.
    Detectives say no foul play is suspected in the incident.

    DAVIS (CBS13) – Three people were killed in a crash on Interstate 80 in Davis late Friday night.
    According to California Highway Patrol, officers responded to investigate a crash reported just before 11 p.m. off westbound I-80 east of Olive Drive.
    At the scene, officers found a 2006 Chrysler 300 had crashed into a tree. Four people were in the car when it crashed and one person was ejected, officers say.

    SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – The typical college graduate will spend approximately 76 percent of his or her income on rent in Sacramento, more than 30 percent more than the nationwide average.
    Analysis done by HotPads, which is owned by Zillow, puts the median rent in Sacramento at $2,005 a month, up 46.4 percent in a decade. While the Class of 2019 will spend 75.9 percent of the median income on rent, the Class of 2009 spent only 47%.

    SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – A man is in custody after a high-speed chase that crossed multiple freeways in the Sacramento area on Sunday.

  • Trailer Full Of Pigs Bursts Into Flames On I-80

    AUBURN (CBS13) — A trailer carrying 200 pigs on Interstate 80 near Auburn caught fire Sunday afternoon after it blew a tire.
    Several of the pigs had to be released along the freeway to save them from the fire, prompting CHP to close several lanes for hours.

    Most of the pigs remained on the trailer and are okay.
    Unfortunately, CHP says six pigs had to be euthanized due to injuries from the fire.

  • Police Find Brutal Murder Scene In Roseville

    ROSEVILLE (CBS13) — Roseville Police responded to the 100 block of Vernon Street early Sunday morning and found a man lying in the road covered in blood.
    “That led us back to a residence here birch street where we found a deceased female we can say that there was an association between the male and the female,” says Rob Baquera of the Roseville Police Department.
    That man, who is in his 50s, was taken into custody on suspicion of murder.
