    SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – More than 300,000 three-drawer chests sold online at a number of retailers, including Walmart and Target, are being recalled after a child died when the chest tipped over.
    The Libra style 3-drawer chests are manufactured by South Shore Furniture and were sold from October 2009-July 2018 for about $60.     SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Igloo-brand coolers are being recalled over concerns children can get trapped inside and suffocate.

  • CHP: 1 Dead In 5-Vehicle Crash On Highway 12 In Fairfield

    5:50 p.m. Update: Officials say the crash was caused by a white van that failed to slow down to traffic, causing a chain reaction with four vehicles in front of it.
    Officers said the person that died was an adult male in the fourth car in the crash. All the vehicles involved in the crash had solo occupants, CHP said.

    MURPHYS (CBS13) — The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office said a man’s body was found in a creek Tuesday morning.
    The Sheriff’s Office said a citizen called 911 around 11 a.m. Tuesday, reporting a deceased subject had been found in a creek near the 800 block of Main Street, Murphys. Citizens had reportedly discovered the body submerged in the water.
