  SUTTER COUNTY (CBS13) – The FAA is investigating after two small planes collided in midair over Sutter County on Wednesday.
  Late Wednesday morning, FAA officials say they got a report from local law enforcement that two single-engine Grumman G-164C Ag Cats had been involved in a midair collision. The collision happened over Striplin Road, about 20 miles north of Sacramento.

• CHP Headquarters In Sacramento Evacuated After Package Emits Strange Odor

  SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – The California Highway Patrol headquarters building in Sacramento has been evacuated due to a suspicious smell.
  The incident is happening at the building along the 700 block of North 7th Street.
  Authorities say the office received a couple packages Wednesday morning that smelled like pesticide. An evacuation was ordered out an abundance of caution and a Hazmat team is at the scene dealing with the packages.

  The Natomas Unified School District said a teacher at Natomas Park Elementary School found a small camera in a bathroom on campus on Tuesday.

  SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – New parents in California may each get an extra two weeks of Paid Family Leave next year, giving families an extra whole month to stay home and bond with their newborn.
  Governor Gavin Newsom outlined the proposal in the May budget revision.

  STOCKTON (CBS13) – An adorable baby raccoon was rescued off the streets of Stockton.
  California Highway Patrol says a person rescued the raccoon from Liberty Road in Stockton recently.
  The tiny mammal has since been taken to a wildlife rehabilitation center – but not before a visit to the Stockton CHP’s dispatch center.
