  The incident happened around 9:30 a.m. along Arden Way, near McClaren Drive.
  California Highway Patrol says a 16-year-old girl was driving west on Arden Way when, for an unknown reason, she swerved onto the shoulder. Two 72-year-old women who were walking on the shoulder were struck.

  Stanislaus County deputies stopped a car with several people inside in Modesto while following up with a carjacking and robbery case early Thursday afternoon. During the stop, deputies say they saw a gun and a deputy opened fire – hitting one of the suspects.

  SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – A fire has a popular midtown Sacramento brewpub temporarily closed.
  Golden Road Brewing Co., an open-air brewpub at L and 19th streets, experienced a fire early morning Wednesday. Firefighters responded quickly and no one was hurt in the fire, the brewpub says.
  Exactly what caused the fire is still under investigation.
  A maintenance issue already had the brewpub closed on St. Patrick’s Day. The place is also at the mercy of the weather, with it being open-air.

  YUBA COUNTY (CBS13) — Two Marysville teenagers are under arrest Thursday on murder charges following a manhunt that crossed state lines. The pair is accused of murdering 87-year-old Arlyne Koehler inside her home in Pocatello, Idaho.
