• Police: 13-Year-Old Boy Stabs 14-Year-Old Girl At Stockton Elementary School

  STOCKTON (CBS13) — Stockton police say a 13-year-old boy is in custody after stabbing a 14-year-old girl at Rio Calaveras Elementary School Wednesday.
  Police say the girl was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries around 1:20 p.m.
  The boy reportedly brought a knife to school and police are still investigating the motive.

  In photos posted by the California Governor’s Office on Wednesday, the lethal injection chair can be seen being hauled out of the room. Signs were also posted, reading: “Lethal Injection Facility is CLOSED per Executive Order N-09-19” and “Gas Chamber CLOSED per Executive Order “N-09-19.”

  SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Extending last call in several California cities, including Sacramento, is one step closer to happening.
  Senate Bill 58 passed the Senate Governmental Organization committee Tuesday by a vote of 10-4; two members of the committee didn’t vote.

• Spirit Airlines Adding Nonstop Service From Sacramento To Las Vegas

  SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – A new low-cost carrier is adding nonstop flights from Sacramento to Las Vegas.
  Spirit Airlines says their SMF to LAS service will begin on June 20, 2019.

• Search On For Suspects In Modesto Purse Theft

  MODESTO (CBS13) – Police are looking for a group of people suspected of stealing a purse and trying to use the victim’s card at a Target.
  Modesto police say the purse was stolen from a car parked near the 1600 block of Coffee Road.
