• DA Won’t File Charges Against 84 Stephon Clark Protesters Arrested On Monday

  SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – The Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office says the more than 80 people arrested after Monday night’s protests won’t be charged.
  Anne Marie Schubert’s office announced on Friday that no charges will be filed.
  “In the interest of justice, no charges will be filed in any of the cases submitted,” the DA’s office wrote in a statement.

• Suspects In 5 Recent Sacramento-Area Robberies Arrested

  SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Detectives have arrested two suspects in a series of scary robberies in the Sacramento area this month.
  Sacramento police arrested Elk Grove resident Roy Pacheco and Sacramento resident Monica Lopez – both 42-years-old – on Wednesday after they were identified as suspects in the series of robberies.
  In total, detectives believe the suspects are linked to five recent robberies: one on March 3 and four separate robberies on March 6.

• Feds Reject $306M For Repair Of Oroville Dam

  SACRAMENTO (AP) – A state agency says the federal government has rejected $306 million in reimbursements for California’s repair of the nation’s tallest dam.
  The amount is less than half of what California has so far requested from the Federal Emergency Management Agency to repair Oroville Dam, where spillways crumbled and fell away during heavy rains in early 2017.

  SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — The man suspected of being the NorCal Rapist is facing even more charges. Sacramento County prosecutors filed four new charges against 49-year-old Roy Charles Waller, linking him to the rapes of two women from Davis.
  Waller was arrested last year after the Sacramento District Attorney’s office used DNA evidence and a genealogy database to track him down. He had been working as a safety specialist at UC Berkeley.

  SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — A former gymnastics coach already accused of abusing minors is facing a new charge.
  Keith Willette of Cameron Park was indicted in federal court for attempting to produce child pornography. Willette was previously arrested in 2017 for allegedly abusing a former student in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
  According to court documents, Willette attempted to produce child pornography of a juvenile victim between May 2000 and April 2002.

  SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — Sacramento police say a motorcyclist has died in a crash with a vehicle in the area of 24th Street and Wah Avenue.
