    DIXON (CBS13) – An army of Dixon High School students sold baked goods at the city’s annual Christmas tree lighting festival to help a student in need.
    Ivan Contreras, 16, was left paralyzed after a backyard accident. The Dixon High community decided to step forward to help get Ivan the money his family needs for a van that can accommodate his motorized wheelchair.

    SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Police have arrested a man in the case of a woman found dead at a Best Western motel.
    Sacramento police say they were called to the Massie Court hotel on Nov. 25 after a woman was found unresponsive inside a room. Medics soon pronounced the woman dead; she had suffered trauma to her head, officers found.
    Detectives have been investigating the case. On Thursday, detectives arrested 35-year-old Mario Michael Mayorga in connection to the woman’s death.

    STOCKTON (CBS13) – Two men on trial in the deadly Bank of the West robbery have pleaded guilty.
    Jaime Ramos and Pablo Ruvalcaba pleaded guilty to murder in court Friday morning. Ramos was charged with using a hostage, Misty Holt-Singh, as a human shield. Ruvalcaba was charged with being the driver.
