    FRISCO, Texas (AP) — Dallas cornerback Orlando Scandrick has been ruled out of Sunday’s game at Denver with a broken left hand.
    The Cowboys have said they don’t think the 10th-year player will miss much time after getting injured in the season-opening win over the New York Giants. It’s more a question of how the hand will be protected when Scandrick plays. He could return next weekend against Arizona.

  • Frontier Airlines Fined For Long Delays In Denver Snowstorm

    DENVER (AP) — The U.S. government has fined Frontier Airlines $1.5 million for keeping passengers stuck on a dozen grounded aircraft for more than three hours during a snowstorm at the Denver airport last December.

    DENVER (AP) — The Colorado Avalanche have signed restricted free agent defenseman Nikita Zadorov to a two-year deal.
    The 6-foot-5, 230-pound Zadorov led the Avalanche with 153 hits last season before missing the final 25 games with an ankle injury.He finished with 10 assists.

    DENVER (AP) — A Peruvian woman who spent several months at a Quaker meeting house in Denver to avoid deportation has been granted 30 days to prepare to leave the U.S.
    The American Friends Service Committee says U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement granted Ingrid Encalada Latorre an extension to a stay of deportation that was to expire Friday.

    DENVER (AP) — Colorado is investigating whether a handful of voters cast two ballots in the 2016 presidential election.
    Secretary of State Wayne Williams said Friday 48 people may have either voted twice in Colorado or voted in Colorado and in another state. Some 2.9 million Coloradans voted last fall.
