• Developer Withdraws Plans For Controversial Development

  FRANKTOWN, Colo. (CBS4)– After vocal opposition, the developer has decided to withdraw plans for development of Franktown Village, a controversial development in Franktown.
  The planning commission voted against the project last month. The final say was up to the Douglas County Commissioners before the developer decided to change course.

  PUEBLO, Colo. (CBS4)– Colorado State Fair ticket sales are off to a good start a little less than a month from the 2017 State Fair opening.
  According to the Pueblo Chieftain, the fair has already generated $445,000, more than double of what was collected last year at this time.

• 2 Construction Workers Fall 40 Feet At Work Site

  LONE TREE, Colo. (CBS4) – Two construction workers who were working on scaffolding fell and were hurt on Thursday morning.
  The accident happened at 9980 Trainstation Circle just before 10 a.m.
  Officials with South Metro Fire said the workers each fell 40 feet. They said firefighters responded to the scene and quickly came to their aid.

• Suspicious Device Found At Longmont Justice Center

  LONGMONT, Colo. (CBS4) – The discovery of a suspicious device forced the evacuation of the Longmont Justice Center on Wednesday evening.
