  • CDOT To Host I-70 Concept Development Meeting

    IDAHO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4) – The Colorado Department of Transportation is hosting an Interstate 70 improvement meeting.
    It is the second meeting regarding the I-70 Mountain Corridor Improvements Concept Development Process.
    The first meeting was held in March.
    At the meeting, CDOT will present and discuss public recommendations they’ve already received, as well as gather additional input on what should be done to help alleviate problems along the highway.

  • 43-Year-Old Man Drowns While Tubing

    DECKERS, Colo. (CBS4) – A Castle Rock man drowned while tubing in the South Platte River in Jefferson County on Saturday.
    Investigators say the 43-year-old was with his fiancee and friends near Deckers and the Platte River Campground.
    A camper saw the man float into some bushes face down and without his tube. A group of witnesses tried CPR before the man was airlifted to the hospital. He later died.
    Authorities haven’t identified him.

    Denver police responding to a report of shots fired at 16th and Arapahoe streets early Sunday, found a man with life-threatening wounds.

    The numbers from June show that Colorado is in a tie with North Dakota at 2.3 percent unemployment.

    DURANGO, Colo. (CBS4) – The La Plata County Sheriff’s Office confirmed Saturday that Mark Redwine, the father of Dylan Redwine, was arrested Saturday and charged with his son’s murder.

    DENVER (CBS4) – The Federal Aviation Administration delayed hundreds of flights and cancelled dozens more out of Denver International Airport after a storm cell developed over the airport Friday.

    BOULDER, Colo. (AP) — The new dean of the University of Colorado’s College of Engineering and Applied Science, Bobby Braun, is setting goals so ambitious even he admits the college may not meet them.
