Kind of a big deal: Paper-thin air-conditioning system uses no energy
You like power, right? No, not the kind thrown around by emperors and presidents. The kind that turns on lights after a simple flick of a switch — the exhilarating kind of power.
Well, there’s been a recent breakthrough that can make power plants even more powerful — or at least more environmentally friendly and efficient.
In 2015, the U.S. Department of Energy’s Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy gave the University of Colorado Boulder a $3 million grant spanning t -
AP: Nuggets Acquire Roy Hibbert From Bucks
DENVER (AP) — A person with knowledge of the deal tells The Associated Press that the Denver Nuggets have acquired center Roy Hibbert from the Milwaukee Bucks for a protected second-round pick.
The deal was reached just before the trade deadline Thursday. The person spoke to the AP on condition of anonymity because the trade has not been announced by either team.
It’s the second time this month Hibbert has been dealt. The Bucks picked up Hibbert from the Charlotte Hornets on Feb. 2. -

No, Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper is not running for president in 2020
Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper’s is not running for president in 2020 — despite what you may have heard.
The two-term Democrat’s name is being mentioned as a potential contender after landing on the vice presidential short-list for Hillary Clinton in 2016.
And his choice of words in a recent CNN interview about a possible presidential bid against Donald Trump only fanned the flames.
But Hickenlooper told The Denver Post in an interview Thursday that it’s nonsense. &ldquo -
Republicans distance themselves from Trump’s agenda at rowdy town halls
By David Weigel, The Washington Post
GARNER, Iowa – When a voter here asked if Sen. Charles Grassley supports a probe of President Donald Trump’s tax returns, the Republican senator gave a qualified “yes.” In Virginia, asked about Russian interference in the presidential election, Rep. David Brat said an investigator should “follow the rule of law wherever it leads.” And in Arkansas, Sen. Tom Cotton told 1,400 people sardined into a high school auditorium that -

Denver social marijuana advisory group works through details — but disagrees about alcohol
Denver city officials brought together a disparate group to advise them on how to implement the city’s first-of-its-kind social marijuana use permit program. When the panel meets, the gaps between competing interests are hard to miss.
Neighborhood advocates and others wary of open marijuana consumption pressed during a two-hour discussion Wednesday for concrete restrictions on a number of fronts for Initiative 300-authorized consumption areas. Businesses will be able to apply lat -
White House Could Be ‘Taking Action’ Against Recreational Pot
WASHINGTON (AP) – White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer said that they could be “taking action” against recreational marijuana.

CBS Sports’ Jim Spanarkel On #13 Florida-#11 Kentucky SEC Rematch
Ryan Mayer
The conversation surrounding SEC basketball has largely centered on Kentucky since John Calipari arrived in Lexington in 2009. The Wildcats, who annually have one of the nation’s best collections of young talent, have been to four Final Fours and two national championship games with one title win in that time. Kentucky was once again well stocked this season, with the nation’s number two recruiting class, and looked to be the conference’s best team.

Another wave of lawsuits claiming disability violations by small businesses, this time in Colorado Springs
A 31-year-old father of two has turned small businesses in a small spot of eastern Colorado Springs into ground-zero for the latest swarm of federal lawsuits claiming discrimination against the disabled.
