    DENVER (CBS4) – Firefighters in Denver responded to a house fire Tuesday afternoon.

    It appears the fire broke out in the attic of the home and the roof collapsed. Crews were able to put the fire out before it spread to neighboring homes.
    The home was apparently being remodeled.

    STOWE, Vt. (AP) – Vermont’s Stowe Mountain Resort is being purchased by the Colorado-based Vail Resorts for $50 million.
    Vail said Tuesday in a news release that it had reached an agreement to acquire the Stowe resort from the Mount Mansfield Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of the American International Group.

    The University of Colorado’s Boulder campus is proposing $39 million in new spending in the 2017-18 fiscal year so that it can maintain aging campus buildings, boost the salaries of its employees and offer more financial aid to needy students.

    CENTENNIAL, Colo. (CBS4) – A helicopter reportedly made a hard landing in Centennial Monday evening.
    The helicopter went down off East Dry Creek Road and South Colorado Boulevard near Tony’s Market.
