    LITTLETON, Colo. (CBS4) – Officials at Chatfield State Park have closed the swim beach on Wednesday due to poor water quality.
    According to park officials, routine water quality tests detected “higher than allowable bacteria levels.”
    The closure is limited to the designated swimming area and doesn’t affect boating, waterskiing, fishing or picnicking.

    DENVER (AP) – A man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison in the shooting death of another man last summer.
    Shawn Snow had pleaded guilty to second-degree murder for the July 27, 2015 death of 42-year-old Casey Griego. He had faced a maximum 24-year prison sentence under the terms of the plea agreement.
    Adams County deputies found Griego shot on the floor of a garage at 7618 Grace Place in unincorporated Adams County. He was pronounced dead at Denver Health Medical Center.

    A 7-year-old child from Albuquerque was fatally shot in Conejos County while camping with family.
