• 60 Abandoned Horses From Texas Rehabilitated In Colorado

  FRANKTOWN, Colo. (CBS4)– The Dumb Friends League has taken in 60 horses that were subjected to “horrific cruelty” in Texas.
  More than 200 horses were rescued in June and suffered from a wide range of health problems including emaciation, abscesses and open wounds, and hoof problems. According to the Houston Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, the majority appeared to have never received hoof care or experienced human contact.

  ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4)– The Denver Broncos have announced their cuts and other transactions to reach the NFL’s mandated 53-player regular season roster limit.
  In addition to the 20 player who were released or waived by the Broncos, safety TJ Ward and defensive end Derek Wolfe were designated as reserve/suspended. They will not currently count against the team’s active roster.

  COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) — The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office and Manitou Springs police are looking for a person who shot at a bail bond agent.
  Police say the bail bond agent reported the suspect fired shots after agents tried to capture the person early Saturday.
  Authorities say the bail bond agent then shot at the suspect.
  Police say no one was hurt in the shooting.

  DENVER (AP) — A Delta flight from Maryland to Utah was diverted to Denver International Airport on Friday due a mechanical issue.
  A spokeswoman for Denver International Airport says Delta Flight 1189 left Baltimore-Washington International Airport and landed in Denver about 6 p.m. after a pilot radioed there were mechanical issues.
  The Denver Fire Department responded, and no odor was found.
