  He spoke to inmates at the Metropolitan Detention Center.  It’s part of his community service for crashing into a pregnant woman’s car and leaving the scene.

  ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE)– Albuquerque Public Schools and Central New Mexico Community College were the big winner in Tueday night’s bond election.
  Voters approved 575 million dollars for APS which will be used to rebuild old schools, add to existing ones, and install surveillance cameras to prevent burglaries and vandalism.
  The money will also be used to help students directly, including those at Albuquerque High.
  Voters also gave the green light to 84 million dollars for CNM.

  ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Firefighters stomped down flames that almost swallowed up a home in northeast Albuquerque.
  The Albuquerque Fire Department rushed to the house near San Antonio and Louisiana before 6 a.m. Wednesday. The family called them after waking up to smoke.
  The garage suffered most of the damage and the family got out before firefighters arrived.
  The cause is currently under investigation. Firefighters say the family will not be able to stay there.
