  CARLSBAD, N.M. (KRQE) – Carlsbad police have arrested a man after a Christmas Eve drive-by.
  Emanuel Olivas is accused of opening fire on a truck outside a home on Boyd Street, striking Robert England. England was sitting with a woman inside the truck.
  He remains in critical condition. The woman was not hurt.

  PHOENIX (AP) – An Arizona Senate committee has passed a measure requiring prior approval for the release of Mexican gray wolves into the wild.

  The decision was deliberated all day. He was acquitted on all counts.
