• Renters May Get More Notice If Their Monthly Rates Are Going Up

  SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – California renters pay some of the highest rates in the country and now the Legislature is trying to make sure they have more notice if a landlord wants to raise the rent.
  Assembly Bill 1110 passed the Asm. Judiciary Committee Tuesday by a vote of 9-3. It would require landlords to give tenants of month-to-month units 90 days notice if the rent increases 10%-15%. If the rent goes up more than 15% then landlords would need to give 120-day notice.

  ROSEVILLE (CBS13) – Police in Roseville are warning people where a scammer fools a victim into pumping gas for them.
  With this scam, Roseville police say someone pulls into a gas station and switches the nozzle from their side to the other. They then wait for an unsuspecting victim to drive up on the other side and pay for gas.

  SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Sacramento County Sheriff deputies are starting to clear a homeless camp in south Sacramento.
  Some 60 to 80 people live on the property along Stockton Boulevard.

• Car Crashes Through 2 Orangevale Yards After Driver Falls Asleep At Wheel

  ORANGEVALE (CBS13) – A driver plowed through two backyards after apparently falling asleep at the wheel in Orangevale Wednesday morning.
