  SOUTH LAKE TAHOE (AP) – A California judge has temporarily blocked the enforcement of new restrictions on short-term vacation home rentals in South Lake Tahoe.
  The Sacramento Bee reports that El Dorado County Superior Court Judge Thomas A. Smith issued a temporary restraining order Monday that prevents enforcement of the voter-approved measure for 30 days.
  The measure puts restrictions on the number of people who can stay in rental homes. It technically took effect Thursday.

  The incident happened along the 300 block of Bel Air Drive.

  SACRAMENTO (CBS13/AP) – A white Christmas was in store for parts of California with wet weather elsewhere in the state that could mean dangerous driving conditions and possible power outages.
  In Northern California, the National Weather Service issued a flash flood watch for an area of Mendocino County that was charred by wildfires earlier this year.

  MODESTO (CBS13) – A wrong-way crash took the life of three people – including a child under the age of two – over the weekend.
  California Highway Patrol says, just after 12:30 a.m. Saturday, a GMC Yukon was heading in the wrong direction – going north in the southbound lanes of Highway 99.
