• Missing Hiker Bradford Dozier Found Dead In Alpine County

    SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — The body of an Elk Grove hiker missing in the Sierra has been found at the base of a cliff, the Alpine County Sheriff’s Office said on Sunday.
    The search for Bradford Dozier, 55, ended on Saturday after nearly a week when his body was found. Investigators say he was trying to free climb terrain and fell about 200 feet to his death.

    SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – California ranks 3rd in the country for identity theft, with credit card fraud accounting for nearly half of all crimes in that category.
    The Federal Trade Commission’s Sentinel Network Data Book is a yearly report analyzing all consumer claims. It classifies the fraud into a number of categories, including debt collection, identity theft, prizes/sweepstakes/lotteries, and telephone/mobile services.

    SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — Law Enforcement will be on alert at the State Capitol tomorrow looking to prevent violent clashes during a planned political rally.
    A conservative organization is holding a rally they’re calling “Turn California Red” ahead of the midterm elections on Tuesday. Counter-protesters are expected to attend as well.
