    UNDATED (AP) — The NBA has released the first-round playoff schedule, and the reigning NBA champs will host the postseason opener.
    Game 1 between Golden State and San Antonio opens the slate on Saturday at noon — a somewhat unusual time tip-off for the Warriors.
    The Warriors-Spurs game will be followed Saturday by three other openers — Washington-Toronto, Miami-Philadelphia and New Orleans-Portland.

  • 3 Sacramento-Area Men Arrested After Escalon Rite Aid Robbery

    ESCALON (CBS13) – Police say three men suspected of robbing a Rite Aid were arrested after a chase on Wednesday.
    The incident started a little after 4 p.m. According to the Escalon Police Department, two of the suspects jumped the counter and stolen some prescription meds. The group then took off in an SUV.
    An officer spotted the suspects as they were leaving and tried to pull them over, but the driver hit the gas.

    WASHINGTON (AP) — The Interior Department is increasing fees at the most popular national parks to $35 per vehicle, backing down from an earlier plan that would have forced visitors to pay $70 per vehicle to visit the Grand Canyon, Yosemite and other iconic parks.

    PINE GROVE (CBS13) – Authorities say they found three bodies inside of an Amador County home early Thursday morning in a suspected double murder-suicide.
    The incident happened a home along Hilltop Street in the Pine Grove area.
    The Amador County Sheriff’s Department says deputies responded just after 3 a.m. to investigate a possible suicide. The deputies soon found three people dead inside the home.

  • VIDEO: Fire Breaks Out Outside Arden Fair Mall Sears Store

    SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – A fire broke out late Wednesday afternoon at Arden Fair Mall near the Sears store.
    Sacramento Fire Department is investigating it as a possible arson.
    According to reports, the fire burned along the exterior of the building.
    Crews were able to extinguish the fire in the shrubs and a tree next to the wall. Flames did not get into the building.
    No evacuations were required and Sears stayed open.

    SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – A vacant home was damaged in a fire early Thursday morning.
    The scene is along the 4500 block of 54th Street. Sacramento Fire says their crews got to the scene a little after 5 a.m. and immediately spotted flames shooting from the home.
