• Police: Big Rig Driver Arrested Near Wheatland, Suspected Of DUI

    WHEATLAND (CBS13) – A semi-truck driver was arrested on suspicion of driving drunk near Wheatland Friday morning.
    The incident happened on southbound Highway 65 a little after 3 a.m.
    Wheatland police say an officer spotted a Freightliner big rig without a trailer tailgating another vehicle. The big rig then allegedly tried to pass on the left side, directly into the path of oncoming traffic.

    ROCKLIN (CBS13) – A report of a mountain lion in Rocklin turned out to be just a cat.
    Police say, last Friday, they got a call about a mountain lion sighting near Rocklin High School during the lunch hour. The sighting prompted a precautionary lockdown at the school.

    MANHATTAN BEACH (CBS13) – Ventura County detectives have arrested a Sacramento man for human trafficking.
    The suspect, James Powell, is accused of trafficking two adult women and three underage teenage girls.
