    OLIVEHURST (CBS13) – Deputies are investigating a shooting in the Olivehurst area that has left at least two people hurt.

    SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Gov. Jerry Brown has a new “First Dog.”
    The governor’s office announced Wednesday that 2-month-old Cali Brown has been appointed Deputy First Dog.
    Cali was born in Herald back on Jan. 26 in a litter of 13 puppies. She’s a mix of Standard Poodle and Border Collie – a departure from Gov. Brown’s apparent fondness for Corgis.

  • 3 People Killed In Arden Arcade Crash

    ARDEN ARCADE (CBS13) – Authorities say three people were killed in a crash at an Arden Arcade intersection Tuesday night.
    The incident happened around 9:30 p.m. at the intersection of Northrop and Watt avenues.
    California Highway Patrol officers say a Kia Optima was heading north on Watt Avenue and was apparently trying to turn left onto Northrop. The Kia drove right into the path of a Chevy Silverado heading south on Watt and was struck.

    LODI (CBS13) – Two people are under arrest after police say they robbed a pizza delivery driver in Lodi.
    The incident happened Sunday around 10 p.m.
    Lodi police say a woman was delivering pizza along the 1800 block of South Church Street when someone walked up behind her and put her in a chokehold.
    Another suspect then took the pizzas – along with the woman’s personal property.

    6:40 p.m. UPDATE: Protesters have taken to the streets of Sacramento, leaving City Hall and heading to the Sacramento Kings game.
    Protesters on Thursday were able to block the entrances to the Golden 1 Center, resulting in a smaller crowd inside for the Sacramento Kings game. Team owner Vivek Ranadive spoke in favor of the protests after the game.

    SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Jurors have reached a verdict on whether convicted cop killer Luis Bracamontes gets the death penalty.
    Tuesday, jurors recommended the death sentence for Bracamontes in the murders of two Sacramento area deputies.
    Bracamontes confessed to killing Sacramento County sheriff’s deputy Danny Oliver and Placer County sheriff’s detective Michael Davis Jr. in 2014. The murders came during a violent crime spree that started as a since-demolished Motel 6 on Arden Way
