    SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — Independent experts say video and audio recordings of Sacramento police officers fatally shooting a black man who turned out to be unarmed raise more questions than they answer.
    Use of force expert Geoffrey Alpert says the officers may have a tough time explaining why they concluded that 22-year-old Stephon Clark had a gun when they were told he had a toolbar.

  • Driver Dead After Crashing At Travis Air Force Base

    TRAVIS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. (AP) – Officials say a driver breached the main gate at an Air Force base in Northern California, then crashed and died.
    Travis Air Force Base officials say in a statement that the driver “gained unauthorized access” to the main gate around 7 p.m. Wednesday.
    They say no one else was injured. Officials would not say how the person died or provided any other information.

    FORESTHILL (CBS13) – Placer County sheriff’s deputies have found the remains of a Foresthill man involved in an armed standoff with deputies earlier this week.
    On Tuesday morning, sheriff’s department SWAT personnel attempted to serve a search warrant on the suspect, who they believe had drugs, guns, and explosives inside his mobile home at 6350 Baltimore Mine Road.     FORESTHILL (CBS13) — Human remains have been found inside a home where deputies say a man barricaded himself inside and set a fire when they attempted to serve a search warrant.
    The Placer County Sheriff’s office has not identified the person inside, or whether those are his remains.

    Salvador Garcia has so far eluded authorities since he was named as the suspect in the murder of Karen Garcia.
    The Colusa City Council voted on Tuesday to double the reward to $10,000 more than two months after Karen Garcia was found dead in her car in a parking lot.

    SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — Sacramento Police have released body cam and helicopter footage from the night Stephon Clark was shot and killed.
    Police released the 911 dispatch audio, as well as aerial video from a helicopter and the body camera footage of both officers who fired at Clark.
    Police say Clark was breaking car windows and a home glass door in South Sacramento when he was confronted by police in his grandparents’ backyard.
