• Damaged Main Spillway Of Oroville Dam To Reopen Next Week

  OROVILLE (CBS13/AP) — Oroville Dam’s heavily damaged main spillway is expected to resume releasing water next week as levels continue to rise in the reservoir.
  The California Department of Water Resources says the battered concrete spillway is likely to begin water releases around March 17 when the level in Lake Oroville is expected to have risen to 865 feet.

• Man Arrested For Sacramento House Fire That Left Him, Toddler Injured

  SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Authorities have made an arrest in the case of a house fire that left a toddler injured.
  The fire happened on Tuesday at a home along the 2700 block of 29th Avenue. Sacramento Fire says their crews responded to the scene a little before 5 p.m. and found two residents, 26-year-old Oscar Mareno and a 2-year-old girl, injured.
  Both were transported to the UC Davis Medical Center. Their injuries were minor.

• Detectives Looking To Identify Driver In Hit-And-Run That Killed Sacramento Man, 20

  SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Detectives are asking for help in finding the driver who hit and killed a young man in south Sacramento.
  The incident happened back on Tuesday. Sacramento police say officers responded to Lemon Hill Avenue and Wilkinson Street a little after 7 p.m. and found a man lying in the roadway.

• Sacramento’s Landmark Water Tower Gets New Branding

  SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Drivers along Interstate 5 will soon see a new addition to a Sacramento landmark.
  The iconic Sacramento water tower will now read: “America’s Farm-to-Fork Capital’ and showcase the official Farm-to-Fork logo.
  It previously marked Sacramento as the “City of Trees”’
  The city was declared America’s farm-to-fork capital back in 2012.

  FAIRFIELD (CBS13) – A Good Samaritan ran to the side of a young woman after a horrific crash on Interstate 80 that almost took the teen’s life.
  Antonetta Miller Roman, 19, doesn’t remember much from that rainy night in January when she crashed on I-80 in Fairfield, except getting out of her car on the highway to go check on the other driver involved.
