  SACRAMENTO COUNTY (CBS13) – A man suspected in the shooting that left a woman dead and several others hurt at an apartment has been arrested.
  The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department says 21-year-old Lawrence Johnson was arrested Tuesday on a charge of murder.
  Detectives believe him to be responsible for the Dec. 12 shooting at an apartment along the 4800 block of Myrtle Avenue. Four people were hurt after a suspect opened fire through the door of the crowded apartment.

  ARDEN ARCADE (CBS13) – Authorities say they have arrested the person suspected of assaulting an elderly man who was pumping gas.
  The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department says 21-year-old Rio Linda resident Larry Ray Richey was arrested Tuesday for the Dec. 12 assault of 85-year-old Lawrence Windham.

  MANTECA (CBS13) – Police in Manteca have arrested a couple suspected of stealing a whole lot of mail.
  Manteca police started investigating on Tuesday a case of fraud where a person had their online account hacked. The hacker bought some fraudulent items and had it shipped to a home along the 300 block of N. Union Road in Manteca.

  SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – One person is dead after a crash on a North Sacramento freeway Wednesday morning.
  The scene is on southbound Interstate 5, just before the Highway 99 interchange.

  FAIRFIELD (CBS13) – A road in Fairfield is expected to be closed through most of the morning due to a deadly crash.
  The scene on Peabody Road, near Hammond Drive.
  Fairfield police say officers their officers and the Vacaville Police Department responded just before 12:30 a.m. Wednesday to investigate a crash. At the scene, officers discovered a fiery crash involving two cars.

  SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — Two alleged Christmas-time criminals are under arrest after each was caught stealing thousands of dollars from their own employer’s cash registers at the Arden Fair Mall.
  Cops arrested Sears employee Rowan Chan for stealing $2,700 from his job, and Macy’s employee Imani Randle for stealing $7,700 from her job.

• Woman Dies From Injuries After Suspect Fires On Crowded Sacramento Apartment

  SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — A woman who was one of four people shot through the door of a crowded apartment has died from her injuries.
  Sungaya Fleming, 38, died from a gunshot wound to the head after someone opened fire on the apartment off of Myrtle Avenue on Dec. 12.
  Deputies say Fleming, another woman, a young man and a 15-year-old girl were hit by gunfire through the apartment door.
