  The Franklin County Schools Board of Education approved a tax rate of 72.1 cents for fiscal year 2027 at a special-called meeting Monday.
  The general fund tax rate is 72.1 cents on real property and 72.1 cents on personal property per $100,000 of assessed value. This is a decrease of 2.1 cents from the tax rate approved for fiscal year 2026.
