    The Frankfort Christian Academy’s girls soccer team is off to a fast start.
    The Lady Royals picked up their third win of the season Wednesday when they defeated Western Hills 8-0 in the Capital City Classic at Capitol View Park.
    TFCA will play Frankfort for the tournament championship Saturday at 8 p.m. at Capitol View Park.

    Frankfort High’s girls soccer team recorded its first shutout of the season Wednesday, defeating Franklin County 5-0 in the Capital City Classic at Capitol View Park and advancing to Saturday’s championship match.

    Local man charged with strangulation, unlawful imprisonment
    A Frankfort man is facing serious felony charges after he allegedly strangled a female victim twice in the past four months.
    According to his arrest citation, Aaron Robinson is accused of kicking in a bathroom door in a residence he shares with the victim and “grabbing her throat and pinching it with his fingers,interrupting the normal flow of blood and causing her to have difficulty breathing” in April.

    The following calls were received by the Frankfort Police Department, Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, Frankfort Fire and EMS, and Franklin County Fire Department on Thursday:
    • At 12:35 a.m., officers were notified of a missing person on Clements Avenue. A caller reported a 20-year-old female with a heart condition left a few hours earlier without her medicine. She was located in Woodford County at 2:23 a.m. and was OK.
