    SAN CARLOS, Calif. (CBS4) – A screech owl was rescued from behind the dashboard of an SUV after it got trapped there.
    The Peninsula Humane Society posted to Facebook that the Western Screech Owl was saved “thanks to some quick thinking of our staff.”CBS San Francisco says that humane society staff members were able to use a portable inspection camera and a handy set of tools to locate and remove the owl after a woman called saying that the owl was trapped inside her vehicle.

    DENVER (CBS4)– The suspect arrested after a deadly hit-and-run has been formally charged.
    Adrian Valdez-Refugio, previously referred to as Adrian Valdez by Denver police, was arrested in connection with the deadly crash at 14th Avenue and Franklin Street early Sunday morning.

  • Motorcyclist Wearing Panda Suit Pulled Over On Highway

    MINNEAPOLIS (CBS4) – The Minnesota State Patrol has “so. many. questions” after someone was pulled over for riding their motorcycle in a panda suit.
    According to the patrol, someone called 911 earlier in the summer to report the rider after spotting them on another highway.

    ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4) – Kalepo Noatala’s football career at the University of Hawaii is on hold after he dove head-first into shallow water in July.
    The 19-year-old suffered severe spinal cord injuries that paralyzed much of his body.

    CBS Local — An annual campaign that encourages people to quit smoking in England has endorsed an unlikely ally in their cause: e-cigarettes.

    BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4) – The site of a former tech giant in Boulder County could be a lure to bring Amazon’s second headquarters to the area.
    An investment group, Bancroft Capital, is buying the former Storage Tek campus near Boulder.

    BRUSH, Colo. (CBS4) – A mix-up at a popular gas station in Morgan County is causing a headache for a lot of drivers.
    The Fort Morgan Times reports that drivers who filled up at the Brush Grocery Kart over the last few days may have gotten a mixture of diesel instead of the mid-grade gas they thought they were pumping.
    The store owner says a tanker truck accidentally put diesel into the wrong tank.

    DIVIDE, Colo. (CBS4) – Dogs are no longer allowed onto hiking trails at Mueller State Park.

    DENVER (CBS4) – Police are asking for help in finding a woman last seen late Wednesday morning near South Downing Street and East Harvard Avenue.

  • Probation Officer Threatened To Revoke Client’s Probation If Drugs, Cash Not Provided

    LAMAR, Colo. (CBS4) – A Prowers County probation officer was arrested on felony charges after obtaining cash and illicit drugs from a man whose probation case he managed, according to court documents.
    Todd Eric Cope, 35, was arrested by Colorado Bureau of Investigations agents September 8th, minutes after he accepted $250 in cash and five pills from his probation client.
    Four of the pills were Oxycodone.
