  • Zoo Updates Baby Giraffe Rae: ‘Grown So Tall’

    COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4) – The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo updated the growth of one of their newest members.
    Rae the giraffe was born at the end of April to mother Msitu and father Khalid.
    She was the zoo’s 199th successful giraffe birth.

  • Mother Bear Found Dead After Reports Of Gunshots

    BEAVER CREEK, Colo. (CBS4) – Officials from Colorado Parks and Wildlife say they are investigating the death of a mother bear in the Beaver Creek area.People reported hearing gunshots before finding the bear on Sunday near the Eagle County community.
    State officials say the bear didn’t have any gunshot wounds or signs of being poisoned.
