    Englewood City Council Votes To Change Sex Offender Restrictions
    ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4) – The City of Englewood has approved scaling back restrictions for registered sex offenders. The final vote on the matter was Monday night at the city council meeting.
    The previous restriction set a 2,000 foot buffer from day care facilities, schools and parks. That’s a length of about five football fields.
    Some claimed the restrictions essentially ban sex offenders from living in the city limits.

    LAS VEGAS (AP) — Frontier Airlines will soon be adding four new flights to Las Vegas’s McCarran International Airport.
    The Denver-based low-cost carrier announced Tuesday that it will be offering nonstop service from Las Vegas to Indianapolis, Washington, Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and Bismarck, North Dakota.
    The flights will begin this summer with introductory fares as low as $39.
    Frontier already serves about 20 cities from Las Vegas.

    PHILLIPS COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4)– Strong winds at times more than 50 mph are hampering efforts of firefighters to contain a wildfire that’s destroyed three homes on the Eastern Plains.
    The wildfire began burning north of Haxtun in Phillips County on Monday afternoon. The fire had grown to 30,000 acres and was 50 percent contained on Tuesday afternoon.The fire is located near Interstate 76, about 150 miles from Denver.

    LARIMER COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4)– Strong winds blew over two semi trucks on Interstate 25 near the Colorado-Wyoming state line on Tuesday morning.

    VAIL PASS, Colo. (CBS4)– A woman continues to recover after she was rescued by fellow snowmobilers when she crashed on a trail near Vail Pass.
    Elizabeth was snowmobiling last week on Vail Pass when she crashed and became buried under feet of snow.
