    DENVER (CBS4) – There were long lines of people outside Florida clinics waiting to donate blood on Sunday following the nightclub massacre in Orlando.
    Emergency workers announced an urgent need for blood in the wake of the shooting and donors in Colorado were also pitching in.

    DENVER, Colo. (CBS4) – Police are searching for the driver who hit and killed a bicyclist Sunday morning in Denver.
    Around 1:30 a.m., a male bicyclist between the ages of 20 and 30 was about to turn left onto Gilpin Street from 1st Avenue when the driver of a black 2016 Fiat 500 stuck him and drove off.

    Colorado Leaders React To Orlando Massacre
    DENVER (CBS4) – The massacre at an Orlando nightclub that claimed 50 lives early Sunday is the worst mass shooting in U.S. history and it has prompted Coloradans to show their support.
    Gov. John Hickenlooper on Sunday ordered flags be lowered to half-staff immediately to honor the victims of the attacks as proclaimed by President Barack Obama. Flags should be raised on Thursday at sunset.

    WHEAT RIDGE, Colo. (CBS4) – Water is running dangerously high in Clear Creek. It’s so high that on Saturday authorities in Wheat Ridge had to close off the trail at 44th Avenue, but that didn’t stop some people from getting into the water.

    ORLANDO, Florida (AP) – The massacre at an Orlando nightclub that claimed 50 lives is the worst mass shooting in U.S. history.
    Police Chief John Mina confirmed at a news conference Sunday morning that 50 people were killed, up from 20 as earlier reported.

    Motorcyclist Killed After Collision With SUV In Brighton
    BRIGHTON, Colo. (CBS4) – A motorcyclist died after crashing into an SUV in Brighton.
    The crash happened Saturday morning at Bromley Lane and 48th Avenue. Police say the motorcyclist, Asael Sifuentes-Reyes, went through the SUV’s passenger window. Witnesses say he was going much faster than the posted speed limit.
    A woman and child inside the SUV were taken to the hospital with injuries not considering to be life-threatening.

    LITTLETON, Colo. (CBS4) – Authorities are investigating the cause of a boat fire on Chatfield Reservoir on Saturday.
    CBS4 viewer Kory Pogennpohl sent in video of the fire. The Colorado State Patrol, state park officials and the Littleton Fire Rescue responded and the fire was put out without anyone being injured.

    BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4) – Police in Boulder have arrested a 26-year-old man in connection with a sexual assault.
    Police arrested Jonathan Narucki. He’s accused of attacking a female jogger along the Boulder Creek bike path last month.
    Investigators say Narucki grabbed the woman from behind, threatened her with a knife, and then sexually assaulted her.
    DNA evidence helped link Narucki to the crime.

    DURANGO, Colo. (AP) – People waving flags and standing at attention said goodbye Saturday to a Blue Angels pilot who was killed in a crash while practicing for an air show.

    Man In Custody After Allegedly Attacking Police Officer
    LOVELAND, Colo. (CBS4) – Loveland police arrested a man accused of assaulting an officer Friday afternoon.
    The incident happened when authorities got calls about a man acting strange near West 3rd Street and North Railroad Avenue causing a disturbance at a nearby bank. As officers approached Timothy Biegel, 25, police say he tried to run away and then charged an officer.
    The assault continued until more police arrived and took Biegel into custody.
