    Stranded Tubers On Poudre River Saved By Firefighters
    FORT COLLINS, Colo. (CBS4) – A Poudre Fire Authority crew saved stranded tubers in the Cache la Poudre River on Friday.
    The young women were cooling off with friends when the water got too rough. They panicked, jumped out of their tubes and somehow got dangerously tangled up.

    Rescuers first put life jackets on the girls and then punctured the inner-tubes and pulled them into a boat.

    HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. (CBS4) – A man accused in a hit-and-run that injured a jogger in Highlands Ranch last September has been sentenced.
    A judge sentenced Markus Lide, 33, to one year in jail for careless driving and four years probation for leaving the scene of an accident.

    DENVER (CBS4) – Local liquor stores are preparing for big changes coming to their industry. On Friday afternoon Gov. John Hickenlooper signed a bill that will allow grocery stores to sell full-strength beer, liquor and wine.

    DENVER (AP) — Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper signed a bill Friday to gradually allow grocery stores to sell full-strength beer, liquor and wine, making the biggest change to state liquor laws since the end of Prohibition.

    COMMERCE CITY, Colo. (CBS4) – An Amber Alert has been canceled after a missing 5-year-old boy was found safe.
    Authorities in Commerce City say they believe the boy was abducted by his father Nicholas Ptak at a gas station near a car wash at East 77th Avenue and Brighton Road.
