    CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) – A Colorado man has pleaded guilty to a federal charge of operating an unregistered airplane in a case stemming from police seizure of over $250,000 cash from a Cody hotel room two years ago.
    Scott Michael Lewis of Englewood, Colorado, pleaded guilty Wednesday before U.S. District Judge Alan B. Johnson in Cheyenne. The agreement calls for prosecutors to drop another charge of conspiracy to operate an unregistered aircraft.

    DENVER (AP) – A bipartisan conference committee quickly resolved a dispute over clean air funding to settle on a $27 billion state budget.

    DENVER (AP) – Xcel Energy says it plans to build the state’s largest wind farm in eastern Colorado with enough turbines to generate 600 megawatts of electricity.
    The company announced the plan Tuesday but gave few details.
    David Eves, president of Xcel’s Colorado operation, said the wind farm would occupy land in several counties but declined to say which ones. He also declined to say how much it would cost.

    Dozens Rally For Equal Pay At State Capitol
    DENVER (CBS4)– Dozens of demonstrators gathered at the state Capitol on Tuesday for Equal Pay Day.Supporters say April 12 marks how far into 2016 women must work to earn what men made in 2015. They say the discrepancy puts women at an unfair advantage to have to work three and a half months more to earn what men earn in a year.
    Supporters planned to hand out gold medals to state lawmakers who supported equal pay legislation and red cards to those who have blocked such legislation.

    BRIGHTON, Colo. (CBS4) – A Brighton Fire Rescue District crew responded to a mother in labor call early Tuesday morning but they arrived too late — the baby had already been born without their help.

    According to Brighton Fire Rescue spokesperson Natalie Ridderbos, the department’s B-shift Engine 52 crew along with Platte Valley Medic 57 arrived just a little too late.
