    BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4)– Boulder County has changed its policy on the use of drones on open lands for scientific research and agricultural purposes on a case by case basis. The drones will be permitted in the capacity that meets those criteria.
    After hearing public input on a proposed change to the county’s drone policy Tuesday, commissioners voted in favor of the new policy in a 2-0 vote, with one member absent.

    DENVER (CBS4)– An effort to make it a crime to pretend a pet is a service animal has been placed on hold at the state Capitol.

    BRIGHTON, Colo. (AP) — An industry group says wind energy generated a record 191 megawatt-hours of electricity last year, enough for 17.5 million homes.

(CBS4)– A Western Slope teenager has died following a reported car surfing accident in the small town of Rifle.According to city officials the unidentified 17-year-old was riding on a car driven by another teen in a Walmart parking lot when he fell off. He was airlifted to St. Mary’s Hospital.

    DENVER (AP) – Colorado is one step closer to outlawing a scam that has targeted immigrants.
    A state Senate committee on Monday approved a bill that would make it a misdemeanor to sell government services without government authorization.
    The bill is inspired by a scam in which people reserve – or say they’ve reserved – appointments with the Division of Motor Vehicles. They then sell the slots to immigrants seeking state driver’s licenses.
