    DENVER (CBS4) — A judge has ruled that a Denver prosecutor can remain on the case of a man who spent 28 years behind bars for a rape he says he did not commit.
    Clarence Moses-EL was convicted in 1988 after the victim said his face appeared to her in a dream, but a judge vacated his conviction last week after another inmate said he had sex with the woman.

    DENVER (AP) — An Aurora police officer who slipped and accidentally shot a car theft suspect during a foot chase has been cleared of any wrongdoing.
    Denver District Attorney Mitch Morrissey ruled that Officer David Musgrave did not intentionally shoot Christopher Padilla and the officer committed no crime.
    The officer was part of a team pursuing a group of alleged car thieves on Dec. 17.

    WASHINGTON D.C. (CBS4) – A federal judge ordered a Colorado company on Wednesday to recall small but powerful magnets that can cause fatal injuries when swallowed.
    Zen Magnets LLC had previously been issued a preliminary injunction, prohibiting the company from continuing to sell the magnets. On Tuesday, the judge made this permanent, ordering the company to conduct a recall.

    DENVER (CBS4) – Approximately 26,000 Xcel Energy customers were still without service Thursday morning. In the past 24 hours, 290,000 customers across the metro area experienced power outages.
    Mark Stutz from Xcel said 90% had been restored, but hoped that all would be back to normal by the end of Thursday.
    Many of the issues are related to snow on the power lines, ice buildup, high winds, and other debris on the lines. In northern Colorado, poles are down.

    DENVER (CBS4) – Eastbound lanes of Interstate 70 were closed approaching Denver at Federal Boulevard.
    An accident at approximately 5:30 a.m. shut down all eastbound lanes, causing traffic to be directed off I-70 and onto Federal Boulevard.

    CDOT said one southbound lane was cleared at approximately 8:30 p.m. from Monument Hill to Colorado Springs. The road remained closed in both directions from the Plum Creek Parkway exit in Castle Rock to Woodman Road in Colorado Springs.
