    BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4) – The University of Colorado Buffaloes landed a No. 8 seed in the NCAA Tournament and will play the University of Connecticut.
    The Buffs (22-11) will play the Huskies (24-10) on Thursday at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa.
    The Buffs, who finished fifth in the Pac-12 regular season, will be heading back the Big Dance for the fourth time in the last five seasons. Head coach Tad Boyle has taken CU to the postseason in all of his six seasons with school.

    PUEBLO, Colo. (AP) – One person has died and at least three people were hospitalized after a fire broke out on the 9th floor of an apartment building.
    The Pueblo Fire Department says about a dozen apartments were damaged after the fire broke out Saturday night at the Azteca Apartments, near Interstate 25.
    The cause is still under investigation.

    DENVER (CBS4) – Detectives are investigating a homicide at a west Denver nightclub.
    Police responded to multiple calls shortly after 6 a.m. Saturday and found a man deceased outside of Stone the Club on Morrison Road near Sheridan Boulevard.
    Crime scene tape surrounded the perimeter of the nightclub Saturday afternoon.
    The daughter of the victim said her father, 46, leaves behind two children and five grandchildren.

    ESTES PARK, Colo. (CBS4) – A 9-year-old girl was killed Friday after being struck by an SUV in the parking lot of an apartment complex in Estes Park.
    It happened just before 4:30 p.m., and responders attempted CPR upon arrival but the child was pronounced dead at the scene.
    The driver, 29-year-old Javier Ulises Hernandez-Solis, was a friend of the child’s sister, Carla Fernandez Portillo, 26, who was a passenger in the car at the time.

    A 26-year-old man has been taken into custody on suspicion of crashing his snowmobile into two Iditarod mushers early Saturday morning.
    Alaska State Troopers say Arnold Demoski of Nulato (noo-LAH-toh) is being held on two counts of assault, reckless endangerment reckless driving and six counts of criminal mischief.
    A message left for Demoski was not immediately returned.
