  SILVERTHORNE, Colo. (CBS4) – Officials with Colorado Parks and Wildlife are warning people about the hazards of attracting wildlife into residential areas after a homeowner admitted to using salt to attract a moose that got tangled in a backyard swing.

• Driver Kills Pedestrian, Crashes Into Walmart

  LAKEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4)– One person was killed when a driver crashed into a Walmart store in Lakewood on Tuesday afternoon.
  Steve Davis with Lakewood Police told CBS4 that a driver in his 80s struck a pedestrian in the parking lot and then crashed into the Walmart just after 2 p.m.

  DENVER (CBS4)– The woman accused of stabbing Denver Fire Chief Eric Tade earlier appeared before a judge on Tuesday morning.
  Marlene Zacevich-Rodriguez has been charged with attempted second-degree murder and first-degree assault.

  COMMERCE CITY, Colo. (CBS4) – In what’s being called the largest settlement of its kind, Commerce City has agreed to pay $262,500 to the family whose dog was killed by a police officer.
  Gary Branson lost his dog Chloe in November 2012.
