    Hartford police bust large-scale heroin operation
    HARTFORD – On Thursday just after 6 p.m. police said they executed search and arrest warrants on Main Street as a result of a long-term investigation into a large-scale heroin trafficking operation.
    Seized in the raid were almost 3,000 bags of heroin, close to 100 bags of cocaine, and $14,000 in suspected drug proceeds.
    According to police, the operation involved several controlled purchases, surveillance, on-site arrests, and electronic monitoring.

    All three were pulled from the water onto the police boat and found to be in good health.

    ASHTABULA, Ohio -- Prosecutors say an Ohio woman was beaten to death and her body was hidden in her closet for days while two suspects partied.

    HARTFORD— Connecticut prosecutors are seeking to re-argue the death penalty before the state Supreme Court, which voted last month to strike it down as unconstitutional.
