• Williamsville man pleads guilty to receiving child pornography

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – A Williamsville man has pleaded guilty to receiving child pornography.
    Christopher Chase, 50, of Williamsville, will face a minimum of five years in prison, a maximum of 20, and a $250,000 fine when he’s sentenced June 6.
    According to the assistant U.S. attorney handling the case, between March 10 and April 2, Chase engaged in sexually explicit online conversations with an undercover law enforcement officer posing as a 15-year-old girl.

    NEWFANE, N.Y. (WIVB) – A Newfane high school student was detained after allegedly making threats in the hallway Friday morning.
    In a letter posted on the Newfane Central School District website Friday morning, Newfane High School principal Dan Bedette said that another student overheard the conversation and reported it to school officials.   • TSA: PA woman with loaded gun at Buffalo airport arrested

    CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Pennsylvania woman was arrested after authorities say she had a loaded gun at the Buffalo-Niagara International Airport.

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A decision could come Friday in the ongoing battle between Buffalo Public Schools and the teachers’ union.

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Buffalo man was sentenced to 27 and two-thirds to 33 years in prison following a fatal stabbing.
