    ATLANTIC CITY, N.J.   • Buffalo police investigating overnight two-car crash on Broadway

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB)- Buffalo police are investigating a two-car accident that injured two overnight at Broadway and Spruce.
    A Ford 4-door was traveling on Spruce when the driver apparently failed to stop at a blinking red signal and struck another vehicle, that was eastbound on Broadway.
    Two females in the Ford, the driver and a passenger, were transported to ECMC to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
    No charges have been filed at this time.

    TOWN OF TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB)- Free Christmas trees will be available to those in need on Sunday, December 24.
    Former Erie County legislator Charles Swanick, Arida Tree Farm and Northtown Garden Center will continue their Christmas Eve tree handout tradition from 9-1 p.m. this year.
    Those in need of a tree can pick up a tree in the back parking lot of the Philip Sheridan School at 3200 Elmwood Ave. in the Town of Tonawanda.

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – The Buffalo VA is investigating one of its top leaders.
    Royce Calhoun, assistant medical center director for the Buffalo VA, is being investigated on allegations of harassment.
    The VA released the following statement Friday night: ““We are aware of the allegations and the matter is being investigated.”

  • Fight breaks out in Walden Galleria Sephora

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – A fight broke out in the Sephora store in the Walden Galleria this week.
    A video of the fight was posted to Facebook on Wednesday. It shows two men fist-fighting in the Sephora check out line.
    A woman is heard yelling “stop” several times. Several people end up getting involved and things get thrown around the store.
    Cheektowaga Police say no arrests have been made because the suspects were gone by the time police got there.

    CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. (WIVB) – Some kids in Cheektowaga spent Friday night making big decisions with big smiles.
    Members of the Buffalo Police Department took kids on a shopping spree at the Walden Avenue WalMart.
    Kids were able to pick out any toy they wanted.
    Officers say they were surprised at how many kids picked up gifts for other people.
    Police say the goal is to help bridge the gap between law enforcement and the community.
